Squamish

Being at the northern end of the spectacular mountain-rimmed Howe Sound inlet and surrounded by iconic mountain scenery, Squamish is a visual paradise.  Mt. Garibaldi, the Mamquam Glacier, Tantalus Glacier are but a few showcase mountain scenes that we can call home.  And then there is the Stawamus Chief at the gateway to Squamish, a monument of native legend.  It dominates our downtown landscape.  It is also the second largest granite mountain in the British Commonwealth after Gibraltar.
